His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj was an inspiration to millions worldwide. Personifying his motto, “In the joy of others, lies our own,” he dedicated his entire life to serving and inspiring others for the greater good of humanity. He reached out to all members of society, irrespective of class, color, or age, with genuine care. Throughout his life, his selfless compassion and humble prayers uplifted countless people and led thousands on the path of spirituality. This year, we celebrate his life and legacy as we celebrate the centennial of his birthday.

In honor of the centennial celebrations of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the New York State Legislature has passed two resolutions. One is in the General Assembly and one in the New York State Senate.

Bill number K01070 was introduced and adopted on June 6th, 2022, by the New York State Assembly. Assemblyman Steve Stern representing the 10th Assembly District was the sponsor, and the cosponsor was Assemblymember Jenifer Rajkumar representing Assembly District 38. In addition, the New York State Senate passed Senate Resolution 2819 on June 1st, 2022, sponsored by Senator James Gaughran. Senator Gaughran represents the 5th Senate District. The resolution can be found here.
